Presidents Day 2018: What’s Open, Closed In Silver Spring

SILVER SPRING, MD — Presidents Day 2018 is just days away. While it’s business as usual for some, there are many services and businesses that are closed for the day.

The day is typically considered a celebration of not just George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, who were born in February, but of all U.S. Presidents.

Here is a look at what will be open on Presidents Day, and what will be closed:

County Offices – closedLibraries – closedCounty Liquor stores – all stores will be open 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.Recreation – aquatic facilities and community centers open; aquatics programs will meet as scheduled; all other classes and programs cancelled; administrative offices and senior centers closed; 55+ Active Adult Programs are cancelledRide On – will run a special Holiday Schedule.
